Praised as the Niagara Falls of the African Safari, Victoria Falls is truly a great wonder of this world. The final destination of a breathtaking landscape, these magnificent waterfalls dwarf the Niagara at twice the scale. Beautiful and daunting, we traversed the edges of this wonder, witnessing the erosion of great sandstone quarries and the might of nature. Victoria Falls is not contained by any mountain or encampment or softened by deep valleys. It is a dead drop plateau, and the water sails over its edge in hundreds of unforgiving directions.

In contrast, our evening closed with a serene and peaceful cruise on board the African Queen, the luxurious riverboat offering the finest views of the plateau over the falls, the horizon unscathed by trees. We ended our African Safari gently, enjoying the sunset and the chorus of the majestic falls in the distance.
